01/What the service is

AuthorText counts how many signs typical of AI-written text a text contains and shows where they are. It is a statistical hint about style, not a verdict and not proof of authorship. Detectors make mistakes, especially on short, business-like or translated texts. Do not decide anything about a person (expulsion, dismissal, a fine) on this score alone.

02/Use at your own risk

The service is provided "as is", with no guarantee of accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses caused by using the score or by interruptions. This does not affect consumer rights that cannot be limited by law.

03/Limits and plans

Text size, number of checks and available features depend on the plan, and the server enforces the limits. Details and prices: the Plans page. Do not work around the limits, do not overload the service with automated requests without an API key (the Pro and Max plans), and do not resell access without permission.

04/Acceptable content

Do not upload illegal material, other people's personal data, passwords or keys. Do not use the site for hacking, mass data collection or attacks on the service. We may restrict access if this is violated.

05/Subscription and payment

Paid plans are taken out as a subscription through PayPal; prices are on the Plans page. The buyer pays and confirms the subscription on the PayPal side: the site receives no bank-card data.

The subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time in your account: the cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and the plan stays active until then.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a statutory right of withdrawal from a contract concluded at a distance, including when buying digital services. How that right applies to a subscription is set by the law of your country.

06/Changes and shutdown

The owner may change the service, the plans and these terms, or stop the project. We will try to announce it on the site. Changes take effect when published.

07/Law and contact
