The short answers, in the order people usually ask. The long versions live on the method, privacy and plans pages.

## Using the checker

### Is it free?

Yes, up to a point. Without signing in you can check texts of up to 3 000 characters, see the main bars and the first three quoted places, and load one page by link per day. Longer texts and full detail need a subscription.

### Which languages does it support?

Russian, Ukrainian, Portuguese and English. The site itself, the stock-phrase lists and the language detection all cover these four. Other languages get the language-neutral measurements (rhythm, vocabulary variety) but no phrase lists, so the result is less reliable.

### How accurate is the score?

Not very, and we publish the numbers. On a large corpus the method flagged about 14% of AI texts while wrongly flagging 1% of human ones, and it does worse on short texts and on modern models. The method page has the details.

### Can I use the score as proof that a text was written by AI?

No. It is a hint about style. Careful human writing can score high and good machine text can score low. Use the quoted places as a reason to ask questions, not as a verdict.

### What does cleaning a text do?

It removes hidden characters, such as zero-width spaces and similar marks, and replaces curly quotes, long dashes and other fancy typography with plain ones. It works on every plan; a text longer than your plan allows is cut to that length first.

## Privacy

### Is my text stored?

No. A text is processed in memory and forgotten. It is not written to logs and not used to train anything. The same goes for texts loaded from a file or a link.

### What do you keep about me?

A login, a salted hash of the password (never the password), an e-mail address if you gave one, and your plan and subscription dates. Statistics are plain counters with no texts and no addresses. The privacy policy lists everything.

## Plans and money

### How do subscriptions work?

Four paid plans, billed monthly through PayPal: Basic EUR 3.00, Plus EUR 9.99, Pro EUR 19.99 and Max EUR 24.99. No trial period and no one-off payments. The site never sees your card data; PayPal handles it.

### How do I cancel?

Open your account, go to the plan section and cancel there. The plan keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for, then the account goes back to the free plan.

### Is there an API?

Yes, on the Pro and Max plans. You create a personal key in your account and send texts to the same analysis as the website uses. The developers page lists the endpoints, errors and limits.

### How do I contact you?

Write to support@authortext.com. A single person reads the mail, so expect an answer within a day or two.
